Check out a Small Group

Word of Life currently has three Home groups, two groups are meeting on Wednesday at 7:00PM and the third one is meeting on Friday also at 7:00PM.  The groups meet twice per month so it is important to check the bulletin to see if a group is meeting this week. We are all studying the book of Hebrews in a chapter by chapter format and would love for you to become a part of a group.

Home groups are a great way to develop relationships with our fellow believers, worship the Lord, study the Bible, ask questions and Pray for each other’s needs.  We have had some very powerful times in the Lord at these groups and our expectation for this coming year is an even greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit!

If you would like to join one of these groups or have any questions please call Jim Blake at (585) 709-7332, you will not only be blessed but you will be a blessing to others.

And daily in the temple and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ

Kid’s Club

If you stop by the church in the evening of the first or third Sunday of the month, you would see lots of things happening. Children might be listening to a story about a missionary, looking at a globe, or working on a craft. You might hear cheers as they play a game or you may smell something delicious cooking. Whatever the children are up to, it’s a beehive of activity. It’s Kids’ Club!

Kids’ Club was started to provide a Sunday evening activity for the elementary-aged crowd while the teens are having youth group. Several kids have graduated up to youth group now. We hope that transition has been easier because of the sense of community there is between the groups.

In Kids’ Club, we focus on different countries and cultures around the world. We learn about what life is like there, what types of things the children do, and how we can pray for the people of that nation. Sometimes we have a different focus. For example, every year we pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, after decorating hats and T-shirts to put in the boxes.

Kids’ Club is open to children in grades K-5. Parents are welcome to stay if they like, but we’ll probably get them involved too! We meet from 6:00-7:30 on the first and third Sundays during the school year. Check the bulletin or calendar to make sure nothing has changed.
